Tropic Ocean Airways flies scheduled and charter seaplanes from Fort Lauderdale to North Bimini. The flight takes roughly half an hour and lands minutes from the estate. This is the way most of our guests arrive, and the low-altitude view of the Bahama Banks is worth the fare on its own.

Fast ferry from Fort Lauderdale.
Balearia Caribbean runs a high-speed ferry between Fort Lauderdale and Bimini several days a week. The crossing takes about two hours and arrives at the Resorts World terminal on North Bimini, a short ride from Rockwell Island.
On your own keel
By private boat.
Bimini is the classic first Bahamian port of entry for Florida boaters. Clear customs and immigration on arrival, then berth at one of the North Bimini marinas. If you are bringing your own boat, tell us when you send your dates and we will help you plan dockage.
Entry requirements
Bimini is in The Bahamas, so every guest needs a valid passport. US citizens do not need a visa for short stays. Customs and immigration are handled quickly on arrival whether you come by air, ferry or boat.
From arrival to the estate
Rockwell Island is minutes from the seaplane base and the ferry terminal. Once your dates are confirmed we coordinate your arrival so the transfer to the house is waiting when you land. The island itself moves at golf-cart pace, and the estate and suites sit right on the beach.
